Job Description

Vista Career Solutions, on behalf of our client, a leading nursing home group in Ireland, is recruiting an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a brand-new Gorey Care Centre in Co. Wexford. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable healthcare provider and play a key leadership role in ensuring high standards of care delivery. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, and uphold quality care standards. The role involves: Supervising clinical teams and supporting staff development Managing audits, rostering, and quality assurance processes Ensuring compliance with regulatory and best-practice guidelines Liaising with families, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders This position is ideal for a dynamic and experienced nurse leader looking to advance their career in a progressive and supportive environment.

Position Knowledge

Strong leadership and management skills A deep understanding of clinical governance, HIQA regulations, and person-centered care Experience in audit processes, quality assurance, and risk management Proficiency in staff rostering, performance management, and mentorship Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Professional Knowledge

Extensive knowledge of older persons' care and best nursing practices Familiarity with clinical policies, infection prevention and control, and medication management Understanding of HIQA regulatory requirements and compliance standards Competence in handling complaints, incident management, and care planning Ability to implement new healthcare policies and procedures effectively
