Position Knowledge
Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to oversee and support nursing staff in delivering high-standard care. Comprehensive knowledge of HIQA regulations and clinical best practices. Experience in conducting audits, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and managing risk. Capability to assist in staff rostering, resource management, and operational planning. Proficiency in developing and reviewing individualised care plans for residents.
Professional Knowledge
In-depth understanding of elderly care nursing practices. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in clinical settings. Effective communication and mentorship abilities to support staff training and development. Knowledge of nursing home regulations and HIQA compliance requirements. Ability to work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
